Formal
The formal style uses symmetrical beds & accents, sharpely clipped hedges, and bedding shrubs. Topiary plants are often included; Royal Palms, Foxtail Palms, and large scale date plams are all featured. The landscape tends to have fewer species of plants arranged in layers, with most of the color being provided by annuals. A high maintenance landscape, however very elegant and classy.
Casual
This landscape style has a conservative bed shape, more formal looking plant material. Hedges and massed beds of staggered heights from the backbone of this style. Royal Palms, Foxtail Palms, Alexander Palms, as well as foilage trees are part of the design palette. Plant material can be altered to be more formal and controlled to provide a looser, more casual feel by just chaging a few types of accent planting.
Tropical
This design style features lots of palm trees, big leaves, and different colors. This style also can include boulders. Beds are free form and flowing with a variety of plant material in each bed. This style creates an infomral, relaxed, and "laid back" atmosphere. Typical plant palette includes Cocunut Palms, Crotons, Ginger, Ferns, Hibiscus, and Bougainvillea.
Modern
The modern style uses asymmetrical beds, groundcovers, and accents. It involves sensitive design solutions that bring to light a new contemporary lifestyle feeling. The modern style has a great interaction between hardscape and landscape, as well as the architecture.
